Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District (Santa Clara, San Mateo, and Santa Cruz counties).
Jodi McGraw Consulting led the technical team on the District’s two-year process to develop a comprehensive vision for San Francisco Peninsula. JMc’s work included:
- Synthesizing a GIS database for the 371,000-acre District jurisdiction;
- Preparing an Existing Conditions Report for the Biological Resources and coordinating preparation of similar reports by subconsultants lending expertise in the fields of conservation forestry, outdoor recreation and education, working lands, and cultural resources;
- Conducting spatial analyses to characterize biological conservation values and inform land protection and stewardship;
- Developing goals, desired outcomes, and priority actions for the Vision Plan;
- Facilitating work by the public outreach team to obtain public input and feedback for the Vision Plan elements throughout the planning process; and
- Developing the elements of the final Vision Plan.
The plan, which was the basis of a successful funding measure, is now guiding the District’s work for the next 40 years.
